Three Stranded Jet Skiers Rescued Off Point Lookout

Three people on jet skis were rescued after becoming stranded off Point Lookout, the Nassau County Police said.

Police received notice of three people stranded when notified by the U.S. Coast Guard of a distress call around 9:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 6, said the Nassau County Police.

First responders from the Village of Hempstead and Point Lookout at Lido Beach Fire Department responded and rescued the three, reportedly a man and two boys, within a short time, police said.

All were wearing life jackets and none were injured.
